This is an easy to prepare meal that makes PLENTY and freezes well :)

Mom's Homemade Chili
2 lb ground beef
1 - 29 oz can tomato sauce
1 - 29 oz can kidney beans (with liquid)
1 - 29 oz can pinto beans (with liquid)
1 cup diced onion (or you can leave it whole, then take it out if your hubby dislikes onions ;)
1/2 cup diced green chilis (I usually reduce this to 1/4 because we don't like spicy stuff!)
1/4 cup diced celery
3 medium tomatoes, chopped (I've used canned tomatoes for this)
2 tsp cumin powder
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp black pepper
2 cups water
1. Brown ground beef; drain off fat.
2. Crumble ground beef into small pieces.
3. In large pot, combine all ingredients and cook over low heat for 2-3 hours.
