Blind Faith Ministries is a fundamental, independent Baptist mission organization out of Rich Creek Baptist Church in Spanishburg, WV. Below are excerpts of what we believe about the Scriptures, the Lord Jesus Christ, future things, and other major doctrines of the faith. We are independent Baptist by conviction and believe in separation ecclesiastically from any worldly or non-scriptural churches or organizations.
The Godhead
We believe that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are coequal and eternally existent (Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14).
The Scriptures
We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Ps. 119:9, 11, 89).
*We use exclusively the King James Version of the Bible.
The Doctrine of Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was fully man without ceasing to be God, and that His death, burial, and resurrection is the only way of salvation (Jn. 1:1-2, Phil. 2:5-8, Jn. 3:16).
The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Person who reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and indwells all believers the moment they are saved, sealing them until the day of redemption (Jn. 16:8-11; Eph. 1:13-14).
Satan
We believe that Satan is a created angelic being who rebelled against God and tempted man to sin. We believe in the reality of the person of Satan and that he and the fallen angels wage warfare against the work of Christ, His church, and all born again believers (Isa. 14:12-17; Eze. 28:11-19; Gen. 3:1-5).
Creation
We believe in a literal six day creation (Gen. 1:1-27).
Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of Adam’s sin in the garden of Eden, the whole human race is fallen. We believe that all men are sinners by conception and by choice, and desperately in need of reconciliation to God (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 5:12).
The Way of Salvation
We believe that a person is born again and reconciled to God by “repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21). We believe that salvation is by grace alone, and not of works(Rom. 11:6; Eph. 2:8-9). It is the choice of man to accept or reject the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. We believe “whosoever will” can be saved (Jn. 3:16; Rom. 10:13; 2 Pet. 3:9). We believe If a person trusts Christ as their Savior, they are eternally secure in their salvation (Jn. 10:27-29; 1 Jn. 5:13).
The Church
We believe that the New Testament church is a local assembly of baptized believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together to carry out the Great Commission (Acts 14:27; 20: 28-32; 1 Tim. 3:15). We believe in the autonomy of the local church, free of any external authority or control. Christ is the only head of the church (Acts 13:1-4, 15:19-31). We recognize the ordinances of baptism by immersion in water and the Lord's Supper as a Scriptural means of testimony for local churches in this age (Matt. 28:19-20; I Cor. 11:23-26). We believe that there are two offices of the local church, the pastor and deacon. We believe in church authority and pastor-led churches (1 Tim. 3:1-13; Tit. 1:6-9; 1 Pet. 5:1-4 ).
Biblical Separation
We believe that the Lord has called us to live holy, separated lives. This separation is twofold. We are separated from the world (2 Cor. 6:14-18; 1 Jn. 2:15-17) and separated unto the Lord (1 Pet. 1:16; Rom. 12:1, 2). We believe that any apostate religious body or doctrinal error should be separated from (Tit. 3: 10; 1 Jn. 4:1-3; 1 Tim. 4:1-3).
The Return of Christ
We believe in the premillennial , pretribulational return of the Lord Jesus Christ ( 1 Thess. 4:13-17 ; Rev. 19:11-16; Rev 20:6).
Our Eternal State
We believe in Heaven as the sinless eternal state of all mankind who have trusted Christ as their Savior, and that they will be eternally with the Lord. We believe in a literal Hell which is an eternal judgment for all who have not believed in Jesus Christ as their Savior. The unbeliever will have eternal torment in a lake of fire without escape or annihilation and be forever separated from God (Rev. 20:15; 21:1-22:5).
